Does MonaVie own the açai patent?

While MonaVie does not technically “own” the patent, MonaVie is the exclusive licensee of the açai patent within the Direct Sales (DS) or Multi-level Marketing (MLM) channel. The terms of this agreement are infinite with worldwide exclusivity.

No other DS or MLM company can use the açai used in MonaVie products. MonaVie will also have exclusivity rights to the remaining three patents currently pending approval.
